ABOUT THE COURSE
The course will cover the nature of oil business and its life cycle as well as the opportunities available in it. Topics in the course will discuss the importance of Explorationist’s view in New Ventures as the main driver to unlock opportunities in the oil business. This is related to the guides and principles from both the business and technical perspectives in the industry.
The Exploration side in New Ventures will be the main focus of the course where some key issues in typical Exploration New Ventures evaluation will be discussed. The understanding the Petroleum System will be highlighted as the most important knowledge to explore further opportunities.
The course will also introduce and stress the importance of understanding the Play Concept, Play Type and their relation to time in any evaluation. The subjects will be elaborated to get a better understanding of the risk, potential and opportunity of an area. The course will be closed with some tips on how to present ideas in an effective manner. Active participation from participants is expected as some examples will be shown and discussed.

Who Should Attend
All personnel involved in New Ventures specifically Geologist, Geophysicist with at least 5 years experience is ideal however it is also suitable for personnel with other discipline background.
About Instructor
Haryo P. Mustapha Has Geological background with 27 years experience as a professional in Oil & Gas Business mainly in Exploration & New Ventures. Currently the President Commissioner of Thara Energi Global which is a GGR consultant which also deals with farmin-farmout, merger and acquisition evaluation services. He has many years of experience in the study and evaluation of South East Asian, Western Australian with main focus in Indonesian basins. His extensive Exploration and New Ventures experience has developed his expertise in technical, business and strategy skills and knowledge.
He got his bachelor degree from Geology Department, Trisakti University in 1990. Since 1990, his experiences in the oil field cover a broad range, which includes several companies such as Petromer Trend, Santa Fe Energy Resources Ltd., Devon Energy Ltd., PetroChina Indonesia, Lundin Oil & Gas B.V., and Orphir Indonesia Ltd.
Cancellation, Substitution & Non Attendance Policy:
Tuition fees are transferable but not refundable. Notification is required to substitute another participant, no later 5 working days prior to the program, should the nominated person be unable to attend. Late cancellation sometimes causes event to be abandoned. Non attendance participant will be full charged as all preparations will have been done.
