DISTINGUISHED LECTURER - SESSION JUNE 2014

As per scheduled, (again) Indonesian Association of Geologists in cooperation with TOTAL E&P Indonesie will on hand to present the "Distinguished Lecturer Session (DLS)", a regular IAGI program for young professional geoscientist as well as for those who want to know about the subject . The programs are intended to broaden geoscientist, Petroleum Engineer  and Reservoir Engineer in scope of  the extraction of natural resources, disaster mitigation and conservation. IAGI requires speakers who are experts in their field and have a capability on transfer of knowledge. Fortunately, IAGI managed to get a slot of a TPA’s professor who will be in education tour to university in Indonesia as they have been doing since years ago. TPA (TOTAL Professeurs Associés) is a nonprofit association established in 2001  with 276 member professors. One of their objectives is to make an education tours and workshops available in this part of the world for free. In this occasion, the Distinguished  Lecturer  Session  will be held on: Day/Date           : Monday,  23rd June 2014 Time                  : 11:30 AM – 14:00 PM Venue                : Meeting Room, 12th floor, Total E&P Indonesie, WTC II,                             Metropolitan Complex. Jl. Jend. Sudirman Kav. 29-31,                             Jakarta 12920 DSL Title            : “Mineral Geochemistry” with the main subject on permeability of porosity and water chemistry in reservoirs. Lecturer             :  JC Lacharpagne (member of TPA Professor) Jean-Claude Lacharpagne gained his M.Sc. in geology – petrography from Clermont-Ferrand University (1968). His main activities lead him successively to Uranium exploration (1971-1973), then tin – tungsten ore bodies’ laboratory studies, and finally synthesis and field exploration in porphyry copper deposits. From 1983 to 2005 he was involved in Petroleum exploration with Elf, then Total, as inorganic geochemist, mainly for laboratory studies on exploration projects with participation to numerous research projects. His teaching activities are related to inorganic diagenesis processes occurring during sandstone burial, where the impacts on reservoir characteristics such as porosity and permeability are determinants for economics.  This event is Free for registered attendee, albeit with terms and conditions apply i.e.:
  1. Open for IAGI, HAGI, JSC, IATMI, and SPE member
  2. Limited to 50 attendees, NOT TRANSFERABLE.
