About The Workshop :

This workshop covers basic aspect of fractured characterization in rock and also fluid characterization in related type of reservoir. Workshop begins with structure and fracture definition and also how to know Fluid Flow in Fractured type reservoir. Both of theoretical and application to the field problem will be presented. Then, the instructor will open the
discussion. All participants could bring out their problems. Instructor will share his knowledge and experiences and participant could understand in fractured rock characterization. At the end of the workshop, the participants will have a case study related to Fracture rock and fluid flow case in some field and also try to optimize the study and interpretation of
the area.

About Instructor :

Ir. Benyamin Sapiie, holds his Ph.D. degree in structural geology from Department of Geological Sciences The University of Texas at Austin, USA. He is An Associate Professor and Research Scientist Responsible for the teaching and the evaluation of Fundamental Geology, Structural Geology and Tectonics in ITB. He was invited as visiting Professor for two
semesters at Department of Nuclear Sciences and Engineering MIT in 2009.
He has a lot of experiences in Structure and tectonics for All Indonesian Area, Geomechanics and Sandbox modeling and fault analysis. He received the 2001 Best paper and speaker in IAGI 28th Annual Convention, then in 2002 also received Best Speaker in IAGI 31st Annual Convention, IPA Annual Conference 2007, 2009 and the best paper Geology in 34th IPA annual convention 2010. As a professional, he holds membership from IPA, IAGI, GSA, FOSI, AAPG, and AGU. He is an instructor in many courses related to structure and tectonics for some oil company and organization in Indonesia.


Cancellation, Substitution & Non Attendance Policy:

Tuition fees are transferable but not refundable. Notification is required to substitute another participant, no later 5 working days prior to the program, should the nominated person be unable to attend. Late cancellation sometimes causes event to be abandoned. Non attendance participant will be full charged as all preparations will have been done.
